Chips commonly develop along countertop edges, sink openings, corners, floor tile edges, thresholds, stair treads, and other exposed areas. Marbleblu may rebuild the damaged section using stone repair materials selected to match the surrounding marble as closely as practical. The repair can then be shaped, leveled, honed, and polished to blend with the existing finish.
Cracks can form from impact, movement, weak support, installation stress, temperature changes, or structural movement beneath the stone. Marbleblu evaluates whether the crack is stable, active, surface-level, or related to the installation. A repair may include cleaning the crack, bonding the stone, filling the opening, leveling the surface, and refinishing the area.
Surface scratches can make marble look worn, cloudy, or uneven. Deeper scratches may catch a fingernail and require more than standard polishing. Marbleblu removes or reduces scratches through controlled honing, grinding, and polishing. The treatment must extend beyond the individual scratch so the repaired area blends with the surrounding surface.
Etching is chemical damage caused by acidic substances. Lemon juice, vinegar, wine, coffee, certain bathroom cleaners, and many general household products can react with marble and leave dull, pale, or rough marks. Etch marks are not usually removed with a cleaner. The damaged surface must be professionally honed or polished to restore an even finish.
